Youth Outreach
Hannah Burt is a interdisciplinary artist with a primary focus in theater and movement. She is a Kentucky Arts Council teaching artist and most recently worked with the Kentucky Science Center as part of their Science In Play program fostering open ended play and discovery. Whether through science, dance, puppets, or contemporary theater Hannah creates opportunities for young people to access their own creativity and agency.

Previous organizations she has worked with include Double Edge Theater, Trinity College, Columbia College Chicago, Boston Conservatory for the Arts, Berea College, and the Unnameable Children’s Project. Her work focuses on exploring imagination and creativity, expanding on students social and emotional learning.
Hand in hand with her theater education is her mindfulness practice, Hannah is a certified yoga teacher and children’s yoga teacher. She has taught children’s yoga to Chicago Public school students and views mindfulness and rest as an equally important part of her artistic work. She is CPR/AED certified, insured, and has her Children’s Yoga Certification from Rainbow Kids Yoga.
She is a CASA advocate in Madison/Clark county and coordinates the Youth Village as a member of Alternate Roots.
